Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering manufacturer based in Thornaby Stockton on Tees. This is a brand new role for the business an ideal opportunity for a CNC Turner Setter/Operator who wants to make their mark and help shape a function from the ground up.

The Role:

As CNC Turner Setter/Operator you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components working to tight tolerances and exacting standards. This is a hands-on role requiring a confident self-sufficient CNC Turner Setter/Operator who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing
• Programme and adjust machine parameters using Fanuc controls and G-code
• Conduct quality checks on finished parts to meet strict tolerances
• Carry out routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Document production activities accurately
• Collaborate with the wider team to drive continuous process improvement

What Theyre Looking For:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner Setter/Operator or in a similar machining role
• Confident with Fanuc controls and proficient in G-code programming
• Competent in setting tools and adjusting offsets independently
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using measuring equipment
• Experience with grinding or milling is highly desirable
• Previous supervisory experience would be a bonus

The Package:

• depending on experience
• Non-contractual performance bonus 10% of annual salary achieved last year
• Monday to Thursday 08:0016:30 Friday 08:0015:30 early Friday finish every week
