An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering manufacturer based in Thornaby Stockton on Tees. This is a brand new role for the business an ideal opportunity for a CNC Turner Setter/Operator who wants to make their mark and help shape a function from the ground up.
The Role:
As CNC Turner Setter/Operator you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components working to tight tolerances and exacting standards. This is a hands-on role requiring a confident self-sufficient CNC Turner Setter/Operator who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing
Programme and adjust machine parameters using Fanuc controls and G-code
Conduct quality checks on finished parts to meet strict tolerances
Carry out routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Document production activities accurately
Collaborate with the wider team to drive continuous process improvement
What Theyre Looking For:
Proven experience as a CNC Turner Setter/Operator or in a similar machining role
Confident with Fanuc controls and proficient in G-code programming
Competent in setting tools and adjusting offsets independently
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using measuring equipment
Experience with grinding or milling is highly desirable
Previous supervisory experience would be a bonus
The Package:
depending on experience
Non-contractual performance bonus 10% of annual salary achieved last year
Monday to Thursday 08:0016:30 Friday 08:0015:30 early Friday finish every week
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
