This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and passionate Cluster Lead Nurseto help shape our vision in how we provide clinical services to individuals whose lives have been affected by drugs and alcohol.

Where: Birmingham (This is a fully on-site position. Remote or hybrid working arrangements are not available for this role.)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a Cluster Lead Nurse you will provide visible clinical leadership across substance misuse services ensuring the delivery of safe effective and recovery-focused nursing care. You will lead the nursing workforce while working closely with operational managers and the multidisciplinary team to continuously improve clinical quality and patient outcomes.

Your role includes:

  • Lead and develop a team of registered nurses and healthcare assistants.
  • Provide professional nursing leadership across the cluster.
  • Deliver high-quality evidence-based clinical interventions for people experiencing drug and alcohol problems.
  • Ensure compliance with NMC standards clinical governance requirements and organisational policies.
  • Support medicines management prescribing governance and clinical risk management.
  • Lead safeguarding practice for adults and children.
  • Monitor clinical performance audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coach supervise and develop nursing staff through appraisal supervision and training.
  • Work collaboratively with Service Managers Consultant Psychiatrists Doctors Non-Medical Prescribers (NMPs) and Recovery Teams.
  • Promote integrated working with primary care hospitals mental health services and partner agencies.

Essential requirements included:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC)
  • Experience within drug and alcohol services or related fields
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation
  • Clinical assessment and risk management skills
  • Experience supervising and developing staff
  • Ability to work across multiple sites
  • Excellent organisational and partnership-working skills
