Clinic Nurse

What youll be doing
As a Healthcare Services Nurse youll play an important role as part of a multidisciplinary store team providing in-store services to our patients and offering holistic advice whilst delivering exceptional patient-centred care. Our main services involve: Travel vaccinations and advice Hypertension Chickenpox Covid-19 HPV Shingles Hepatitis B and Meningitis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver our range of healthcare services in our in-store consultation are
• Support the safe and efficient operation of the healthcare business by following legal and professional regulations.
• Upskill on new healthcare services where required.
• Complete further professional development respond to feedback from patients and implement changes that improve patient experience

What youll need to have (our must-haves)

• Be a practising Nurse registered with NMC
• A minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
• A clinical background with an acute awareness of patient safety and understanding of the RCN Standards of conduct ethics and performance.
• Comfortable making decisions and delivering sound judgments
• Able to communicate and build relationships with your team
• Willingness to support the induction of new Nurses within other stores remotely.
• Enjoy networking so you can promote your services within the local community.

It would be great if you also have

• Qualification as a Nurse Independent Prescriber
• Primary care experience

Need To Know
Independent Prescribing Nurse Hybrid (Remote & In-Store) Permanent 3 days remote with Boots Online Doctor & 1 day in a Boots Healthcare Centre in Musselburgh.

The role includes working every other weekend as part of your contracted working pattern.

This is a great location and very close to Edinburgh!

Ready to use your prescribing skills in a new way

Were looking for experienced Independent Prescribers to join us in an exciting permanent hybrid role bringing together digital healthcare and face-to-face clinical care. This opportunity is open to both Independent Prescribing Nurses and Independent Prescribing Pharmacists.

Youll spend three days each week working remotely with Boots Online Doctor (BOD) delivering digital consultations and clinical care to patients and two days in one of our selected Boots Healthcare Centres providing face-to-face clinical services and using your Independent Prescribing qualification in practice.

Its an opportunity to combine the flexibility and innovation of digital healthcare with the patient interaction and clinical impact of working in a Healthcare Centre while helping us develop accessible high-quality healthcare services across Boots.
