Job Description: Domestic Assistant

Location: Lady Elsie Finney House Cottam Avenue Ingol Preston PR2 3XH
Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Hourly Rate: 13.45 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable and detailfocused Domestic Assistant to join our team at Lady Elsie Finney House. You will play an important role in maintaining a clean safe and welcoming environment for residents staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and be committed to delivering high standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties across the building including communal areas offices bathrooms corridors and resident areas.
  • Vacuum sweep mop dust and polish surfaces as required.
  • Clean bathrooms and toilets to a high standard ensuring hygiene and safety at all times.
  • Replace consumables such as soap towels and toilet paper.
  • Empty bins and manage waste disposal in line with organisational procedures.
  • Follow designated cleaning schedules and maintain appropriate cleaning records.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with training.
  • Report maintenance issues or concerns promptly to the management team.
  • Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Reliable punctual and professional.
  • Awareness of health and safety and infectioncontrol practices.

Desirable:

  • Previous cleaning or domestic experience.
  • Experience in a care or healthcare environment.

Working Hours

Total weekly hours: 17.5 14:00-19:00


Week 1:Monday Tuesday Wednesday Saturday Sunday
