Cleaner

Job Purpose

As a Cleaner you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness hygiene and safety throughout Eaton Primary School. You will ensure that classrooms communal areas washrooms and other school facilities are cleaned to a professional standard providing a safe and pleasant environment for pupils staff and visitors.

• Clean classrooms corridors offices toilets and communal areas.
  
• Vacuum sweep mop and polish floors.
  
• Empty bins and remove waste.
  
• Clean and sanitise touch points and surfaces.
  
• Replenish consumables such as soap toilet paper and paper towels.
  
• Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
  
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
  
• Report cleaning issues maintenance concerns or health and safety hazards.
  
• Maintain high standards of hygiene within the school environment.
  
• Work independently and efficiently to complete allocated cleaning schedules.
  

• Previous cleaning experience.
  
• Experience working in schools offices public buildings healthcare or commercial environments is desirable.
  
• Understanding of cleaning methods and safe use of cleaning products.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  
• Reliable and punctual with good attention to detail.
  
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  

• Enhanced DBS (required).
  
• Right to Work in the UK.
  
• Ability to work the required shift pattern.
  

• Location: Eaton Primary School Norwich NR4 6HS.
  
• Hours: 20 hours per week.
  
• Shift Pattern:
  
  • Monday to Friday
    
  • 14:30 18:30
    
• Enhanced DBS required.
