Mechanic / Vehicle Restoration Technician

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Mechanic / Vehicle Restoration Technician to join a well-equipped specialist workshop working on everything from pre-war vehicles through to 1990s modern classics. This is a varied hands-on role suited to somebody who enjoys proper mechanical work fault finding and seeing projects through from strip-down to completion.

Your day-to-day work may include:

• Mechanical restoration work including underbody refurbishment brake and fuel line replacement servicing and general repairs
• Vehicle strip-down and reassembly during restoration projects
• Refurbishment and overhaul of mechanical components
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding across a wide variety of classic and specialist vehicles
• Tyre fitting wheel alignment and workshop preparation work
• Supporting restoration projects from initial assessment through to completion

• Experience within a premium independent specialist or main dealer environment
• Strong diagnostic ability both modern and traditional
• Confidence using diagnostic equipment oscilloscopes and dealer-level systems
• Experience working on classic vehicle restorations motorsport builds or complete vehicle projects
• Engine and gearbox rebuild experience would be highly beneficial
• Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to your work

This would suit somebody who enjoys variety takes an interest in how things work and appreciates the difference between simply replacing parts and properly understanding vehicles.
