Civil Engineer Nuclear

ALTEN is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure and engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to further develop their technical capabilities while working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design coordination and delivery of civil engineering solutions across various project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of civil engineering design activities from concept through to detailed design.
• Produce and review technical calculations reports and engineering documentation.
• Assist with site development infrastructure and utility designs.
• Support drainage earthworks and civil engineering assessments.
• Coordinate with structural mechanical and project engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards regulations and client requirements.
• Support project delivery activities to achieve cost quality and schedule objectives.
• Contribute to technical problem solving and engineering improvement initiatives.
• Assist with preparation of engineering deliverables and project documentation.

Qualifications :

Required Skills:

• Experience working on infrastructure construction utilities or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design principles and industry standards.
• Experience preparing technical reports calculations and design documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive and solution-focused approach to engineering challenges.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.

Experience in one or more of the following:

• Drainage Design
• Earthworks
• Site Development
• Utilities Infrastructure
• Highway Design
• Experience within Nuclear Energy Water Rail or Infrastructure sectors.
• Progress towards ICE professional membership or chartership pathway.
