Were seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Somerset or Greensburg this role you will gain hands-on experience supporting a diverse portfolio of land development projects including private sector and municipal development. Youll collaborate with experienced professionals who are committed to mentorship and fostering long-term career growth within a highly collaborative team environment.

Your Responsibilities as a Civil Engineer:

• Perform detailed civil engineering design for land development projects including site layout grading stormwater management erosion and sediment control and utility design
• Support site feasibility studies due diligence and zoning/code compliance reviews for a variety of development projects
• Prepare and review design plans technical specifications cost estimates calculations and engineering reports
• Assist with permitting and approvals coordinating with local state and federal agencies and responding to agency comments
• Collaborate with project managers planners and survey teams to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through construction
• Track project progress manage deliverables and ensure adherence to schedules budgets and quality standards
• Participate in client contractor and municipal meetings documenting key decisions and follow-up actions
• Provide support during construction including reviewing submittals responding to RFIs and conducting site visits as needed
• Contribute to proposal development scope definition and client presentations
• Maintain accurate project documentation budgets and progress tracking within internal systems
• Actively pursue professional development opportunities with a focus on advancing within land development engineering

What were looking for:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• EIT required PE preferred or on track
• 5 years of experience with exposure to site design and land development projects
• Experience with PADEP permitting processes and coordination is preferred.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and MS Office; HydroCAD or similar stormwater modeling software preferred; HEC-RAS experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of grading drainage and local permitting processes
• Excellent technical communication skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of safe work practices
