Civil Engineer Field Surveillance

Job Summary
You will support construction surveillance activities across major civil engineering works onsite.
The role focuses on quality assurance compliance monitoring and contractor performance oversight.
Conduct construction surveillance activities across civil engineering work packages
Verify works comply with contract requirements specifications and quality standards
Identify non-conformances and support preparation of quality reporting documentation
Coordinate closely with contractors and multidisciplinary site delivery teams
Contribute surveillance data supporting project quality performance indicators
Promote compliance with health safety and environmental requirements onsite
Review quality inspection records before works are permanently covered
Monitor contractor performance against approved quality control plans
Support mitigation actions to maintain construction progress and quality standards
Provide timely reporting of surveillance findings and emerging project risks
Qualifications :
HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent vocational experience
Strong understanding of construction methods materials and industry practices
Experience working within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
Excellent attention to detail when inspecting works and materials
Proven ability to produce accurate concise and contract-relevant site records
Strong communication skills and ability to build contractor relationships
Ability to work independently while contributing to high-performing teams
Understanding of quality assurance and construction compliance requirements
Knowledge of CDM Regulations and drawing approval processes advantageous
Experience using electronic devices for onsite inspection and reporting activities
