As a Team Leader your leadership and support will play a key role in delivering these outcomes every day.

Your Role as a Team Leader (Childrens Services)

Youll support the day-to-day running of the home leading by example to create a safe nurturing environment where young people can develop and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the care of children aged 1217 in a safe homely environment
  
• Contribute to meeting their physical emotional social and educational needs
  
• Build positive relationships to support personal development
  
• Promote independence through daily living skills
  
• Supervise and support team members to develop their skills and confidence
  
• Lead by example ensuring high standards of care
  
• Mentor less experienced staff and strengthen team capability
  
• Advocate for the needs and best interests of young people
  
• Support consistent high-quality care across the service
  
• Work flexibly across shifts including days waking nights and sleep-ins
  

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Level 3 Diploma in Childrens Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  
• Willingness to work towards a management qualification
  
• Awareness of Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  
• Experience supporting or mentoring others in a team setting
  
• Passion for improving outcomes for young people
  
• Strong communication empathy and emotional awareness
  
• A calm resilient approach in challenging situations
  
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
