Role Type: Locum
Working Pattern: Hybrid approximately 2 days in the office with family visits as required
About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Childrens Social Worker to join Barnet Council on a locum basis. The successful candidate will have strong experience in child protection and statutory social work.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families in line with statutory requirements.
- Work within Child Protection and Child in Need frameworks.
- Undertake assessments visits and reviews and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare reports and contribute to court proceedings when required.
- Work collaboratively with families colleagues and other professionals.
- Attend the office approximately 2 days per week and complete family visits as required.
Requirements
Requirements
- Qualified Childrens Social Worker.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
- Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
- Experience working within a long-term team.
- Strong experience in Child Protection Child in Need and Court work.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and undertake statutory family visits.
- Strong communication assessment and report-writing skills.
