As a Deputy Manager youll play a key role in leading teams and ensuring high-quality care is delivered every day.

Your Role as Deputy Manager (Childrens Services)

Working alongside the Registered Manager you will help lead the home and ensure a safe structured and nurturing environment where young people can succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes
  • Assist in managing the home ensuring it is safe compliant and homely
  • Deliver a child-centred approach to meet individual needs
  • Mentor and guide staff to maintain high standards of care
  • Support recruitment training and development of team members
  • Plan and manage staff rotas effectively
  • Conduct supervisions and contribute to team development
  • Provide leadership direction and practical support
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
  • Work flexibly across shifts including sleep-ins and long days


Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Level 3 Diploma in Childrens Residential Childcare
  • Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to work towards)
  • Minimum two years experience in social care
  • Experience completing risk assessments and reports
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and legislation
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Passion for supporting young people with complex needs
  • Strong communication resilience and decision-making skills
  • A proactive and committed approach
