Childrens Deputy Home Manager
40000 - 45000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) 40 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Childrens Deputy Home Manager to join a brand-new residential care home supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new service from the very beginning helping to shape the culture standards and day-to-day operations of a small child-focused home. Combining both hands-on support and administrative responsibilities the role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference while playing a key role in the homes development and success.
Working closely with the Registered Manager youll help create a safe nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can build confidence develop life skills and achieve positive outcomes.
What Were Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childrens Residential Care essential
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification desirable
- At least 2 years experience as a Deputy Manager within a childrens residential setting essential
- Experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities and/or Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding childrens legislation and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to balance hands-on support with administrative and operational responsibilities
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
- Providing leadership guidance and support to the staff team
- Ensuring high standards of care are delivered in line with childrens individual needs and care plans
- Supporting compliance with Ofsted regulations safeguarding requirements and company policies
- Completing a mixture of operational administrative and hands-on duties
- Contributing to staff supervision development and performance management
- Building positive relationships with children families social workers and external professionals
- Promoting a safe stable and nurturing environment where children can thrive
