Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Our client a large national law firm with offices across the UK and an excellent reputation for innovation client service and employee wellbeing is looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their leadership team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technology leader to shape and deliver a long-term technology strategy within a highly successful and growing legal business.

The successful Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for defining and executing the firms technology vision ensuring that technology enables business growth operational excellence information security and an exceptional user experience. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the firm you will lead technology teams covering infrastructure applications service delivery security data and innovation.

Our client appreciates the successful Chief Technology Officer could come from a range of different professional backgrounds and are happy to consider candidates from legal services professional services financial services or other highly regulated environments with experience leading large-scale technology functions.

Essential skills:

• Proven experience leading technology teams and technology strategy within a complex organisation

• Strong understanding of infrastructure cloud technologies cyber security and enterprise applications

• Experience delivering technology transformation programmes and driving organisational change

• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills

• Ability to align technology investment and strategy with wider business objectives

Desirable skills:

• Experience within a law firm or professional services environment

• Microsoft 365 Azure and modern workplace technologies

• Data AI and automation strategy

• Information security governance and risk management

• Vendor management and technology budgeting
