Role summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Scala Developer to join our Technology this role you will design develop and maintain high-performance APIs backend components and integrations that power our application platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Scala Java and MySQL with a passion for building scalable and reliable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop test and maintain scalable high-performance applications using Scala.
- Build and maintain backend services APIs and microservices.
- Develop and optimize database solutions using MySQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and reliability issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to software design and development best practices.
- Support CI/CD implementation and deployment automation initiatives
Required
- 6 years of overall IT industry experience with strong expertise in software development.
- Strong programming experience in Scala and familiarity with Scala frameworks.
- Good working knowledge of Java and backend application development.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Functional Programming (FP) concepts.
- Experience designing and developing scalable high-performance applications and services.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL including database design query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Experience in the banking and financial services domain is preferred.
