About the role
This is a relief position meaning there are no guaranteed hours or set shifts and there is no obligation to accept shifts that are offered. Youll provide cover for annual leave sickness absence and busy periods across our services making it an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for flexibility and a great work-life balance.
There are no split shifts or late evening shifts allowing you to enjoy a more predictable working pattern when you choose to work.
A willingness and ability to travel is essential as youll support services across South Wales. Youll only ever work at one service at a time but may be asked to cover different locations depending on operational need. When completing your application please tell us where you are based and how far you would be willing to travel so we can match suitable shifts to you.
Skills and Experience Needed
Youll have previous catering experience within a commercial care or hospitality setting and be passionate about delivering high-quality food and service. Youll be confident preparing and presenting nutritious meals meeting residents dietary and cultural needs and maintaining excellent food hygiene health and safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
Youll hold an NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering and a Food Hygiene qualification (Level 2 minimum) with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene health and safety. Were looking for someone who is enthusiastic about continuous learning and development willing to attend any training required by management to support their role and maintain professional standards. Please note that an DBS check will be required for the successful applicant.

The full-time equivalent salary for this role is 27133.00 per annum based on 37.5 hours per week. As a Relief Cook you will be paid for the hours you work.
