The Combined Cadet Force Royal Navy-Royal Marines Headquarters CCF RN-RM HQ) under Commander RN Cadet Forces (RNCF) is responsible for providing a challenging and stimulating cadet experience within schools that develops and inspires young people through the ethos and standards of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.
ROLE DESCRIPTION & SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The postholder is foremost the Executive Officer (XO) with responsibility as Head of Training for CCF RN-RM HQ. The postholder deputises for Commander CCF RN-RM provides support to RN Cadet Force HQ
Key tasks include:
Deputise for the Cdr CCF RN-RM maintaining full accountability as Duty Holder for all duties within CCF.
In the absence of the Cdr hold Duty of Care remit for all CCF Cadets Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) and full-time military and civilian HQ staff.
In the absence of the Cdr CCF hold Delegated Authority budgets.
Oversee the production and delivery of the CCF RN-RM Training Programme and delivery of RN-RM cadet syllabus.
Liaise with HQ leads of Boats Adventure Training and Training Safety to assure the safe conduct of training to include the selection of suitable candidates to aid the delivery of CCF RN-RM.
Conduct an annual review analyse course feedback data and produce an Annual Report recommending changes to improve the CCF RN-RM offer.
Advise and staff all CCF RN-RM training issues working with NCHQ sServices MOD and external agencies as required.
Define internal and external customer requirements through positive stakeholder management.
Maintain knowledge and currency with all MOD Joint Service and National Governing Bodies regarding training policy and guidance.
Define the initial allocation of CFAVs to support annual training. Identify CFAV allowance and equipment demands to be placed with the Logistics Department and provide forecast data against projected spend.
Make visits to schools Contingents and potential MOD training venues as necessary.
Provide advice to the Logistics Department on CFAV allowance authorisations.
Manage a nationally dispersed workforce by setting practical goals and objectives to improve their capability and development.
Manage and be accountable for forecast spending of CCF RN-RM In Year Budget in agreement with Cdr CCF RN-RM/DComd RNCF.
Perform the duties of 1RO 2RO where appropriate and act as Senior Head of Department.
Represent Cdr CCF RN-RM at meetings conferences and national events as necessary. To include MOD Regional Combined Cadet Force Regulations Working Group and CCF RN-RM input to the Statement of Training Requirement (SOTR)/ Statement of Training Task (SOTT).
Carry out additional tasks and duties appropriate to Rank / Grade / Experience as directed by Cdr CCF RN-RM and Dep Cdr RNCF.
Actively promote an understanding of RN / RM Core Values and Ethos within the CCF (RN/RM) Sections.
