Job Summary
Overview:
A Catering Assistant supports the preparation delivery and service of food and beverages in catering environments such as schools hospitals corporate offices or events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic food preparation (washing chopping assembling dishes)
- Serve meals and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen service areas and dining spaces
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety regulations
- Set up and clear down service areas including equipment and tables
- Support stock rotation and storage procedures
- Provide friendly customer service and respond to queries
Requirements:
- Previous catering or hospitality experience (desirable not essential)
- Basic food hygiene knowledge (training can be provided)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible approach to working hours
