CATERING ASSISTANT

Salary: 28662.72 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent Full Time 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri) 06:30 19:30

Location: Cheltenham Gloucestershire

Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and up to 2000 annual retention bonus subject to eligibility criteria (pro-rata for part time employees) subject to maintaining clearance requirements.

We are looking to grow our existing Catering team at this prestigious site in Cheltenham. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 6:30am and 7:30pm.

Core Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Hospitality

• Provide exceptional proactive customer service by anticipating and responding to client needs.
• Operate barista coffee machinery handle till transactions and prepare basic food items.
• Coordinate prepare and deliver hospitality catering across the site as needed.

Food Safety Hygiene & Maintenance

• Maintain clean hygienic work environments in line with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
• Complete daily compliance documentation including mandatory food and equipment temperature checks.
• Monitor kitchen machinery to ensure safe operation reporting any maintenance faults promptly.

Stock Control & Daily Operations

• Manage stock rotation (FIFO) assist with periodic stocktakes and proactively minimize waste.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork reliability and professionalism across all shifts.
• Remain flexible to support business needs including occasional shifts at nearby sites and complete ongoing skills training.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a catering or food service environment.
• Valid Level 2 Food Hygiene certification
• Basic understanding of Health & Safety practices COSHH guidelines and allergen management due diligence.

Desirable

• Food safety certificate
• Previous experience of a quality catering operation
• IT Competent
