Caretaker

A successful Mixed Secondary School in the London Borough of Lewisham is seeking a dependable and hardworking Caretaker to join its premises team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe secure and well-presented school environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the school buildings and grounds remain fully operational and maintained to a high standard throughout the year.

Responsibilities will include opening and locking the school carrying out routine maintenance and repairs undertaking regular site inspections and supporting the implementation of health and safety procedures.

You will assist with setting up rooms for examinations assemblies performances and parents evenings while ensuring furniture equipment and facilities are prepared to meet the schools daily operational requirements.

The role also involves monitoring contractors reporting maintenance issues maintaining external areas and supporting planned maintenance projects across the site.

Working closely with the Premises Manager you will contribute to creating a safe and welcoming environment where students and staff can thrive.

The successful candidate will possess strong practical skills excellent organisational abilities and the ability to work independently while maintaining consistently high standards.
