As a Family Worker you will be critical to the success of the 0 - 12s Family Service and in the delivery of The Best Start In Life Family Hubs. Find your greatness as you provide universal support groupwork and early intervention approaches to empower families and improve outcomes.

In this important and varied role you will be part of a team offering a welcoming and accessible service that meets and adapts to local needs. Day to day you will be working with other agencies to offer a range of drop ins groups and programmes that support childrens emotional social cognitive and physical needs keeping an eye on risk to ensure they are safe. You will support families to help themselves by working with them to identify their needs suggesting support and services and enable them to achieve their goals.

You will have a relevant qualification and will be a confident and resourceful worker experienced in individual or group work with children and families. You will have good knowledge around safeguarding policy and practice and strong self organisation skills enabling you to plan implement and evaluate activities and interventions.

You will be working as part of an established Childrens Centre working across the two main bases in the Dunstable Locality area as well as supporting service delivery across the whole authority area and will need a positive and flexible attitude towards change as the team and service develop.
