About the Role

We are a dedicated staffing agency currently recruiting on behalf of a premium friendly residential facility in the Romford area. We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to join their outstanding team to help create a supportive and safe environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant you will support individuals who may be elderly living with physical disabilities or managing health conditions such as dementia. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and assisting with medication or meal preparation.
  • Offering genuine companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Assisting with light domestic duties within the home.
  • Supporting residents with safe moving and handling.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Familiarity with assisted living nursing home environments or specialized care for Alzheimers and dementia patients is highly preferred. However no prior experience is required if you have a background in retail hospitality or simply a strong desire to enter the care giving field those transferable skills are highly valuable.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal) a hospitable demeanour and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Relevant skills such as first aid and medication administration are beneficial.
  • Requirements: Successful applicants will be required to hold or undertake an Enhanced DBS Check. Essential care certificates are preferred though full training will be provided.
