Care Quality Manager Health & Social Care

Up to 55000 Bonus Scheme Car Allowance Regional Role Dorset & Surrounding Areas

Quality isnt just about passing an inspection its about making sure excellent standards are embedded into everyday practice and when something isnt working having the confidence and experience to put it right.

This is a hands-on quality and compliance role supporting a diverse portfolio of care services across Dorset and surrounding areas including residential and nursing care homecare and specialist services.

Were looking for an experienced Care Quality Compliance or Governance professional who can make an immediate impact. Youll work directly with service managers and operational teams spending time within services to understand whats happening in practice identify areas of concern and provide practical support to drive meaningful improvements.

What Were Looking For

  • Nurse qualification with active NMC registration or a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
  • Proven experience within a Care Quality Compliance Governance or Quality Assurance role in health and social care.
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations fundamental standards and inspection processes.
  • Experience supporting multiple services or locations.
  • Confidence working across a range of care environments ideally including residential nursing homecare or specialist services.
  • Experience completing audits identifying areas of concern and developing effective improvement plans.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Provide hands-on quality and compliance support across a portfolio of care services.
  • Carry out regular quality audits service reviews and compliance assessments.
  • Identify areas of risk poor practice or non-compliance and take prompt action to address concerns.
  • Work directly with service managers to develop clear and achievable improvement plans.
  • Track actions through to completion and ensure improvements are embedded and sustained rather than providing short-term fixes.
  • Support services to prepare for and respond to CQC inspections.
  • Review care documentation safeguarding practices incidents complaints and other quality indicators.
  • Provide practical guidance and coaching to managers and operational teams.
  • Identify themes and trends across services using findings to inform wider quality improvements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability continuous improvement and genuinely person-centred care.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership to maintain consistently high standards across the organisation.
