Care Assistant

Care Practitioner. Manor Park Care Home

• Hours: 22 hours (2 shifts) 33 hours (3 shifts) or 44 hours (4 shifts) per week available
• Salary: £13.31 per hour
• Shift Pattern: both day and night contracts available (either 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Practitioners to join our day team at the brand-new Manor Park Care Home in the picturesque town of Malton North Yorkshire.

As a Care Practitioner you will play a vital role in supporting our residents ensuring their comfort dignity and wellbeing. You’ll assist with daily routines provide personal care and help create a warm and engaging environment where residents feel valued and safe.

Key Responsibilities.

• Deliver high-quality personal care including assistance with washing dressing and mobility.
• Support residents with meals hydration and social activities to promote wellbeing.
• Respond promptly and sensitively to call bells and any changes in residents’ conditions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and handover notes.
• Uphold infection control and health & safety standards at all times.
• Work collaboratively with the day team to ensure continuity of care.
• Help create a positive stimulating environment through conversation and activities.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a care role is desirable.
• A calm patient and empathetic approach to overnight care.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work 12 hour shifts including alternate weekends.
• A commitment to delivering person-centred care and maintaining residents’ dignity.
