Buyer, Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS EMEA)

At Amazon we are going through an exciting period of growth. Thats precisely why were seeking a Non-Inventory Buyer to join our Fulfilment Centre (FC) cross functional team. The Non-Inventory Buyer will work in a team environment with Internal Amazon teams and vendors to administer and source non-inventory goods and services. These may include warehouse/office supplies safety equipment tools for internal consummation and repair and maintenance services.

The GPCS Team reporting into the Global Procurement Organisation (GPO) ensures that Amazon gets value for money for non-inventory goods to provide the Fulfilment Centres with the necessary shipping supplies they need to operate smoothly. As a GPCS Buyer you will provide functional support to all the Fulfilment Centres (FCs) within a cluster of FCs for all aspects of procurement. This includes securing the constant flow of packaging goods and services supplied at the best overall value to the business on a day to day basis.

The number of FCs within a cluster will ideally depend on FC size and other relevant parameters. The GPCS Buyer will directly report to the Regional Manager for GPCS EMEA.

Travel Requirements: Occasional Travel may be required to visit individual FCs within the cluster/other regions (5% of the total time)

Key job responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Plan and execute daily forecasting and materials management for all non-inventory packaging supplies including purchase order creation based on planned forecasts and internal requests
Liaise with suppliers to secure prompt deliveries coordinate delivery schedules and time slots and communicate accurate delivery information to local stores teams
Serve as the escalation point of contact to ensure deliveries are completed within agreed timelines flagging issues to the Regional Manager and wider procurement team
Develop relationships with internal stakeholders (on-site management teams) external suppliers and cross-functional teams interacting with stores coordinators on a daily basis
Manage and reduce invoice queries and support continuous improvement projects aimed at improving the efficiency of shipping supplies processes
Deliver procurement metrics in line with set targets including cost savings stock availability and individual project objectives

About the team
Explore the world of Amazon Operations : Experience with MS Office in particular MS Excel
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP ORACLE Coupa) in large organizations
- Speak write and read fluently in English
- Proficient in both spoken and written French Spanish German or Italian (Common European Framework of Reference B2 or above)
