OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) and RNIB are collaborating withorganisationsfrom both the sight loss and wider charity sector as well as corporateorganisationsto create new opportunities for blind and partially sighted people to find employment through the Get Set Progress (GSP) is delighted to be offering an internship as part of the Get Set Progress scheme.
This role will form akey part of the operational and management teams supporting with varied contract activities including operations recruitment & marketing note taking training administrative tasks and feedback. The post holder will be a key player in driving ABMs performance and shaping the service ABM offer.
Main responsibilities:
Recruitment / Marketing:
- Supporting the creation of an all-encompassing recruitment strategy working with relevantorganisationsto ensure those with lived experience of disability and lower socio-economic backgrounds are aware that the Aviation sector is a greatoptionfor them.
- Screening resumes ensure each application is reviewed andidentifythe best candidates for the operational team to interview.
- Co-ordinating interviews once all the applications have been reviewed with candidatesidentified pre-screening and/or interview will need to beco-ordinated.
- Conducting interviews you maybe requiredto support the pre-screening process and/or support the interviewing process.
- Conducting company assessments - There may be assessments that candidateshave tocompletein order toproceedwith the interview process.
- Attend job fairshiringevents and specialist events such as NAIDEX/ABM JEEP events/Job Centreetcto share personal successstoriesand details of opportunities within the sector and encourage applications.
Training:
- Support the design of training for Assisted Traveldelegatesensuring materials and delivery are inclusive and accessible.
- Supporting Training Team to deliver training as appropriate
- Supportsorganisationof dates and trainingactivitiesas needed.
- Provides documentation of training provided andvalidatesthat the budgeted timeallocatedis met.
- Creates & conducts certification for learners. Provides feedback and coaching as part of the learning experience.
Administrative Tasks:
- Willsupport withprocessing internal and external applications through the I.D. process.
- Proactivelycommunicatingwith internal and external applicants to ensure their references are completed within the SLA schedule.
- Support with collating full5-yearcredible history checks (mayincludeliaising with applicants to seek further details from the home office or government authorities).
- Develop and provide reports asrequired.
- Support by taking notes for formal and non-formal meetings.
- Utilisinga variety of systems and software such as Microsoft Office suite (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint SharePoint Office 365) Power BI Find My Shift and other platforms used to manage employees and produce meaningful reports.
Feedback:
- Monitor passenger/client correspondence throughout the feedback lifecycle.
- Support by liaising with the Operational Teams toassistin the early resolution and logging of feedback.
- Engauge with guests to collecttimelyandaccuratefeedback.
Operations:
- Participate in a variety of projectsdeemedappropriate byManagement. Performing various support duties and ad-hoc projects asrequired.
- Support with identifying enhancements to the operational processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide support& resiliencefor the operational teams during high volume times.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Always follow ABM Group and company policies and procedures.
- Report anyapparentdeficiencies insystems ofworkor equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Useall work equipment and personal PPE properly andin accordance withtraining received.
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager.

Essential criteria
Importantinformation:
- This role has a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the successful applicant be a person who is blind or partially sighted in line with The Equality Act 2010.
- Interns need to be able to travel to the TPT Hub in London fordevelopment events throughout the course of the internshipprogramme(costs covered by TPT).
- Havingnotpreviously undertaken the Get Set Progress internshipprogramme.
- Successful applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK for the duration of the Internship. Sponsorship will not be provided.
