Our client is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Studies Teacher to join a successful school in Ipswich from September.

The school is looking for a teacher who can bring Business Studies to life through engaging lessons relevant examples and a strong understanding of the subject. The successful applicant will work as part of a supportive department and will have the opportunity to teach students across different year groups.

This position would suit an ambitious teacher who enjoys developing students understanding of business and economics and who can encourage pupils to consider how classroom concepts relate to the wider commercial world.

The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver well-structured lessons monitor student progress and contribute positively to the wider life of the department and school.

The Role:

As a Business Studies Teacher you will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging Business Studies lessons

• Teaching students across the required key stages

• Developing pupils understanding of business concepts and terminology

• Preparing students for internal and external assessments

• Creating appropriate learning resources and classroom activities

• Marking and assessing student work

• Monitoring progress and identifying areas for development

• Supporting students who require additional academic assistance

• Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour

• Contributing to departmental planning and development

• Participating in parents evenings and other relevant school events

• Supporting the wider aims and values of the school

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:

• Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies

• A recognised teaching qualification and QTS

• Experience teaching Business at secondary level

• The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly

• Excellent classroom management

• Strong organisational skills

• A positive and enthusiastic approach
