Summary:
The Job Evaluation & Organisational Design Specialist will act as the organisations subject matter expert in job evaluation ensuring the consistent application of Hay Guide Chart and NJC Job Evaluation Schemes across the authority schools academies arms-length organisations and external clients.
Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver job evaluation exercises using Hay Guide Chart and NJC Job Evaluation Schemes.
Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on organisational design role design and grading structures.
Ensure consistency fairness and equal pay compliance across all evaluated roles.
Manage complex and high-profile job evaluation and organisational design casework.
Partner with senior stakeholders to support restructures and service redesign projects.
Conduct detailed analysis of job content and organisational context to determine appropriate grading outcomes.
Qualification:
Professional qualification in a numerical analytical logical HR or related discipline.
Formal training in Hay Guide Chart and National Joint Council (NJC) Job Evaluation Schemes.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Essentials:
Significant experience conducting Hay Guide Chart and NJC Job Evaluation Scheme assessments.
Strong understanding of organisational design principles and methodologies.
Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
Detailed knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 particularly Equal Pay legislation.
Experience working with senior managers directors and executive stakeholders.
