Job Summary
We are working closely with a local authority in Elmbridgeto assist with the appointment of a Business Engagement and Grants Officer on a 7.5-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 158.25- 208.42 per day
Summary:
The Business Engagement and Grants Officer plays a key role in supporting the growth resilience and long-term success of Elmbridges local economy by strengthening relationships with independent businesses SMEs and town and village centre role is responsible for administering and managing business grant programmes supporting the distribution of over 100000 in funding for projects including shopfront improvements vacant unit activation digital trading energy efficiency and outdoor seating initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with independent businesses SMEs traders Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) chambers of commerce and business associations.
- Represent the Council at business forums networking events stakeholder meetings workshops and community engagement activities.
- Manage the full grant lifecycle including application processing approvals grant agreements compliance monitoring payment administration and record management.
- Assist with placemaking initiatives town centre regeneration projects promotional campaigns and high street events.
- Produce newsletters website content social media communications and promotional materials.
- Ensure compliance with council policies financial procedures grant conditions data protection legislation and information governance requirements.
Qualifications:
- A-Level qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Relevant training or qualifications in business support economic development project administration or a related discipline.
Essentials:
- Experience in business engagement grants administration or customer-facing business support.
- Experience managing administrative processes documentation financial records or grant administration.
- Understanding of business engagement and customer relationship management.
- Knowledge of business administration and grant administration processes.
