The Role
This is an opportunity to become a trusted advisor to businesses across Birmingham and the Midlands helping clients identify technology challenges and implement solutions that support growth and operational success.
As a Business Development Manager you will focus on generating new business opportunities managing a robust sales pipeline and developing long-term relationships with clients. You will utilise a range of business development activities including cold calling LinkedIn outreach networking events and targeted marketing campaigns to drive growth.
Previous account management experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The business is seeking ambitious individuals with a strong work ethic resilience and a passion for both sales and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling email campaigns LinkedIn engagement and networking activities.
- Build manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Identify qualify and convert prospective clients.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers and senior stakeholders.
- Conduct consultative meetings to understand business challenges and requirements.
- Recommend tailored IT solutions across cyber security cloud services infrastructure networking and business continuity.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and monitor sales performance.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new customers.
About You
- Previous experience within B2B sales business development lead generation or account management.
- Comfortable conducting proactive outbound sales activities and cold calling.
- Strong communication negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated target-driven and commercially focused.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales tools.
- Ambitious adaptable and keen to develop a successful career within the IT sector.
