The Business Consultant / Analyst sits within the Customer Delivery function providing consulting and business analysis support across the Intelligent Grid Solutions practice verticals.
Working as part of multidisciplinary delivery teams the role supports customer programmes by helping clients understand business requirements operational challenges and opportunities for improvement translating these into clear analysis requirements and recommendations by producing high-quality output material to help our customers understand.
The role requires practical domain knowledge in at least one utility area including AMI SMART Metering SCADA DMS OMS or DERMS. The Consultant will work closely with Practice Leads Project Managers Solution Specialists and other delivery colleagues to support successful customer outcomes.
This is a consultant role combining customer-facing delivery support with energy and utilities domain knowledge.
- Support consulting and technology implementation projects across the Intelligent Grid Solutions practice verticals.
- Work with client stakeholders to understand business needs operational processes and requirements.
- Gather analyse and document business and functional requirements through workshops interviews and process reviews.
- Apply domain knowledge in at least one of AMI SMART Metering SCADA DMS OMS or DERMS to support client analysis and solution development.
- Analyse current business processes and support the definition of improved future-state processes.
- Produce clear client deliverables including requirements process maps analysis presentations and recommendations.
- Support client workshops and meetings capturing requirements decisions actions and areas for further analysis.
- Work with technical and solution teams to help translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
- Support testing and validation activities to confirm delivered solutions meet agreed business requirements.
- Undertake relevant market regulatory operational and technology research to support client assignments.
- Support Project Managers and senior consultants in delivery activities risks issues and project reporting.
- Build effective relationships across Customer Delivery the practice verticals clients and delivery partners.
- Contribute to proposals and business development activities through research analysis and preparation of supporting material.
- Typically 5 years relevant experience within consulting utilities technology or a related environment.
- Experience working in or consulting the energy and utilities sector.
- Knowledge or practical experience in at least one of the following domains AMI SMART Metering SCADA DMS OMS or DERMS.
- Experience in business analysis consulting technology implementation research or operational improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing professional reports and presentations.
- Comfortable engaging with client stakeholders and working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Compensation: In accordance with local law the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience education skill level geographical location and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Companys annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company Business Segment and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
