Business Analyst

Calisen is a leading energy services and solutions provider focused on driving efficiency and innovation across the energy sector. As we continue to evolve our technology landscape were looking for a highly technical Business Analyst to join our IT team and play a key role in shaping system and data-driven solutions.

This is an opportunity to join an established BA team and bring a strong technical and systems focus working at the heart of our transformation initiatives.

Note: This is a 12 month contracting position.

The Role

This is not a traditional process-focused BA role.

We are looking for someone who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery - translating requirements into system designs data solutionsand scalable architectures.

You will work closely with developers solution architectsand IT teams to support system transformation integrationand migration particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem (including Dynamics 365 and Fabric).

What Youll Be Doing

• Analyse business processes and customer journeys identifying opportunities for system data and integration improvements
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications system designs and solution outputs
• Work closely with developers architects and IT teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Define data reporting and system requirements including data flows structures and dependencies
• Support system integration API definition and data migration activities
• Act as the bridge between business and technical teams ensuring clarity and feasibility of solutions
• Facilitate workshops and shape technology-enabled solutions
• Support UAT and implementation ensuring solutions meet both business and technical needs
• Produce clear technical and functional documentation
• Contribute to system transformation and modernisation initiatives particularly within Microsoft-based environments

What Were Looking For

Essential:

• Experience as a Business Analyst on systems or technology-led projects
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions or system designs
• Experience working closely with developers architects and IT delivery teams
• Strong experience with data analysis data mapping and complex datasets
• Experience with systems integration APIs or data flows
• Experience supporting system implementation transformation or migration programmes
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams

Desirable:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Experience within Microsoft environments (Azure Fabric Power Platform)
• Exposure to data platforms reporting tools or data warehousing concepts
• Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps SQL or similar
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
