Business Analyst
Where: UK flexible - office space available in major UK cities but remote-ok. Occasional (once per quarter) national travel to Leeds office for hackathons team events etc.
Hours: Full time 37.5h/week

We support people in a huge range of difficult situations including those who use drugs and alcohol and those whose home life is affected by drugs mental health and/or domestic violence. Were the largest charity of this type inthe country supporting tens of thousands of people in their own journeys. Hundreds of staff work across our organisation to support some of the most vulnerable people in society. Among the many services we offer are:
- Needle exchanges both in-person and anonymous
- Screening for blood-borne viruses
- Drug testing for fentanylnitazeneand other harmful additives
- Prescribing safer alternatives to opioids to reduce harm from street drugs
- Working with local pharmacies to check people have picked up life-saving medication
- Case workers who specialise in helping children and young people
Responsibilities
About you:
Youre someone who enjoys understanding how things work and finding better ways to do them. You combine analytical thinking with strong communication skills enabling you to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Youre naturally curious ask thoughtful questions and enjoy turning complex problems into practical solutions.
You understand that successful digital products are built through collaboration and can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs challenge assumptions where appropriate and help shape effective outcomes.
You may already be an experienced Business Analyst or you may have developed strong analysis process improvement or requirements gathering skills in a related role.Most importantly youre passionate about improving services and helping teams deliver meaningful change.
Were particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to gather analyse and document business requirements.
- Experience facilitating workshops meetings and discovery sessions.
- A structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Confidence translating business needs into clear requirements user stories or process maps.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- An interest in continuous improvement and delivering positive outcomes for users.

What Youll Be Doing
As our Business Analyst you will:
- Analyse business processes systems and ways of working to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with colleagues stakeholders and people who use our services to understand needs and requirements.
- Create user stories personas process maps and business cases that support successful delivery.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts developers testers and wider stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support the design testing and implementation of system changes.
- Communicate complex information clearly to audiences with different levels of technical understanding.
- Help ensure our digital products align with organisational strategy user needs and operational objectives.
- Identify risks dependencies and opportunities throughout projects and change initiatives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices across the organisation.

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
