Building Surveyor
Job Summary
- Deliver expert Building Surveying services across the Councils property holdings.
- Facilitate building compliance safety maintenance and asset management tasks.
- Oversee and execute capital improvement and refurbishment initiatives.
- Serve as Contract Administrator for various construction and maintenance projects.
- Conduct building inspections condition surveys and defect analysis.
- Develop specifications work schedules reports and tender documents.
- Evaluate contractor performance and ensure project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to relevant laws regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Support conservation and heritage projects involving historic buildings.
- Contribute to health and safety compliance and risk management efforts.
- RICS Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) qualification.
- Extensive experience in a Building Surveying or Property Services setting.

- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator.
- Experience as a Principal Designer (CDM).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
- Exceptional report writing and communication skills.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Grade I and II Listed Buildings
- Scheduled Ancient Monuments
- Commercial and Industrial Properties
- Grade I and II Listed Buildings
- Experience as:
- Nominated Person for Asbestos Management
- Nominated Person for Fire Management
- Nominated Person for Asbestos Management
- Previous experience in a Local Authority or Public Sector environment.
- 34.91 per hour (Umbrella)
- 7 Month Contract
- Location: Hereford
- Hybrid Working 2 to 3 Days On Site
