Building Surveyor
Job Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Herefordshire to assist with the appointment of aBuilding Surveyor on a 4-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 25.72 - 33.91 per hour
Summary:
The Building Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring the compliance safety and effective management of the Councils property portfolio while supporting the delivery of capital projects.The role will involve working closely with partner organisations and the Councils PMO team across a diverse portfolio including Grade I and Grade II listed buildings Scheduled Ancient Monuments commercial and industrial properties.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional building surveying expertise across the Councils property portfolio.
- Work closely with partner organisations to ensure the compliance and safety of Council buildings.
- Support the PMO team in delivering capital projects.
- Provide advice and technical input relating to listed buildings Scheduled Ancient Monuments commercial properties and industrial sites.
- Ensure the Council maintains a compliant property estate.
- Provide advice on current legislation regulatory requirements conservation and planning policies.
Qualification:
- RICS Chartered Surveyor qualification
Essentials:
- Demonstrable experience working within a professional property environment.
- Strong knowledge of current legislation and regulatory requirements relating to buildings.
- Good understanding of conservation and planning policy.
- Experience working across a diverse property portfolio.
- Experience acting as Contract Administrator.
