A brilliant and friendly primary school in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Site Assistant to join its premises team.

The school is looking for someone practical dependable and proactive who can help maintain a safe secure and attractive environment for pupils staff and visitors.

• Supporting the opening and closing of the school site.

• Carrying out routine premises checks.

• Completing minor maintenance and repairs.

• Assisting with basic DIY tasks.

• Monitoring the condition of buildings and facilities.

• Maintaining playgrounds and outdoor areas.

• Supporting room setups and furniture moves.

• Assisting with deliveries.

• Supporting contractors and maintenance providers.

• Reporting faults and maintenance concerns.

• Supporting health and safety checks.

• Assisting with fire safety procedures.

• Ensuring the school site remains clean and presentable.

• Previous experience working within a school premises caretaking or site role is essential.

• Practical maintenance skills.

• Previous experience in an educational environment.

• Good understanding of health and safety.

• Reliable and trustworthy approach.

• Ability to work independently.

• Good communication skills.

• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
