Job Summary

Our church... is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We believe church should be a place where believers in Jesus and skeptics can stand side-by-side to study truth and ask tough questions. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways.

Bookstore Support.....is a part-time position (5-10 hours per week) that will be on site point of contact for bookstore when bookstore is open including weekend services and limited groups classes and events holidays (Christmas Easter & Baptism Celebration weekend).

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for all guests in the bookstore by working alongside a volunteer team that are hospitable familiar and knowledgeable about bookstore resources.
  • Have a working knowledge of resources in the bookstore including being trained in the basic bible course.
  • Have a working knowledge of the systems in the bookstore including square point of sales and bible imprinting.
  • Point of contact for new volunteer shadowing on a weekend.
  • Willing to take 2-3 shifts (a Saturday or Sunday) a month.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education/Training & Certifications

  • Associates degree or 3 years volunteer management experience
  • Previous retail and office management experience not required but preferred

  • Attend a service at one of The Crossing campuses on a weekly basis
  • Passionate about their relationship with God
  • Baptized after making the thoughtful decision to follow Christ
  • Regard the Bible as Gods final authority in all areas of Christian life and desire to be wholly obedient to it
  • Wholeheartedly affirm The Crossings Statement of Faith including our view on Baptism
  • Live a lifestyle consistent with scriptural principles
