A supportive secondary school in Cumbria is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology Teacher to join its Science department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to deliver engaging Biology lessons and help students develop their knowledge confidence and enthusiasm for the subject.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Biology lessons across the secondary age range with teaching up to KS5 where appropriate. You will create an engaging classroom environment monitor student progress and work collaboratively with colleagues to support strong academic outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Biology lessons across KS3-KS5.

• Assessing student progress and providing effective feedback.

• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations.

• Supporting students of different abilities and learning needs.

• Working collaboratively within the Science department.

• Contributing to the wider life of the school.

• Qualified Teacher Status or relevant teaching qualification.

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology.

• Experience teaching Biology within a UK secondary setting.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• A positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

• Commitment to supporting students academic and personal development.
