You will teach general Science across Key Stage 3 before specialising in Biology at GCSE level. Your lessons will cover areas such as cell biology organisation infection and response bioenergetics homeostasis ecology inheritance and evolution.

A key part of the role will be helping students understand the scientific processes behind what they are learning. Practical investigations should be used to give pupils the opportunity to test ideas analyse results and develop confidence working scientifically.

At GCSE you will support students with examination preparation and help them develop the ability to apply biological knowledge to unfamiliar questions. You will regularly assess understanding and use feedback to address misconceptions and improve student outcomes.
