Salary: Up to 25206.00 per year (depending on level of experience training and qualification)
We have an opportunity for a Billing Associate to join their team of staff.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Produce accurate and timely invoices for patients consultants insurers and NHS organisations in accordance with contractual agreements and organisational policies.
Ensure invoices are processed correctly applying agreed charging structures tariffs and billing rules.
Review and verify billing information to ensure accuracy before invoices are issued.
Process invoice amendments adjustments and credit notes where appropriate.
Monitor billing activities to ensure service level agreements and billing deadlines are consistently achieved.
Support accurate revenue recognition through timely and compliant billing processes.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Experience working in a finance billing accounts receivable customer service or business services environment.
Experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage queries professionally and effectively.
Good technology skills including experience using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
Ability to manage workload effectively prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
Good numerical analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience working within healthcare private healthcare or NHS finance environments.
Knowledge of healthcare billing processes NHS contracts or private medical insurance billing.
Experience using financial management or patient administration systems.
Understanding of invoice production exception reporting and query resolution processes.
Knowledge of data protection confidentiality and financial governance requirements.
Experience supporting process improvement or finance transformation initiatives.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including basic reporting and data analysis.
