The Behaviour Manager will play a key role in supporting the schools behaviour expectations and ensuring that students receive appropriate intervention when concerns arise.

You will work with students who may require additional guidance around behaviour helping them understand expectations and take responsibility for their actions. The role will involve a mixture of proactive support and responding to incidents when they occur.

You will monitor behaviour information and identify recurring issues or patterns. Where appropriate you will work with pastoral colleagues to develop strategies and interventions designed to improve individual students behaviour and engagement.

The role will also involve supporting teachers. You may assist with difficult incidents provide information about students and contribute to meetings where behaviour is discussed.

Communication with parents and carers will be an important part of the position. You will need to explain concerns clearly discuss agreed actions and maintain constructive relationships even when conversations are challenging.

  • Support reintegration following exclusions or periods away from lessons where appropriate.

  • Work with students to develop positive behaviour strategies.

  • Encourage students to take responsibility for their choices.

  • Support classroom teachers with behaviour-related concerns.

  • Contribute to behaviour meetings and reviews.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.

Behaviour Manager - Experience and Requirements
