The Behaviour Manager will become an important member of the schools pastoral structure and will work closely with students families and colleagues.
The school is seeking an experienced and confident Behaviour Manager to coordinate behaviour support and interventions across the school.
The successful candidate will monitor behaviour incidents support staff in implementing behaviour procedures and work directly with students who require additional intervention.
You will help ensure that behaviour expectations are communicated consistently and that appropriate follow-up takes place when incidents occur.
The role will also involve working with parents and carers Heads of Year pastoral leaders and senior staff.
The successful candidate must be able to remain calm under pressure communicate clearly and maintain firm but professional boundaries.
Coordinate day-to-day behaviour support across the school.
Monitor behaviour incidents and identify patterns.
Maintain accurate behaviour records.
Support staff in applying the schools behaviour policy.
Provide targeted intervention for students with recurring behaviour concerns.
Build positive professional relationships with students.
Conduct restorative conversations where appropriate.
Support students in understanding the impact of their behaviour.
Develop and monitor behaviour support strategies.
Work closely with Heads of Year and pastoral teams.
Communicate behaviour concerns with parents and carers.
Attend meetings relating to individual behaviour concerns.
Support the implementation of individual behaviour plans.
Monitor students receiving behaviour interventions.
Provide relevant information to senior leaders.
Support staff with practical behaviour-management strategies.
Assist senior leaders with serious behaviour incidents.
Support students returning following exclusions or other periods away from lessons.
Work alongside safeguarding staff when behaviour concerns raise wider issues.
Identify potential barriers contributing to poor behaviour.
Promote positive conduct throughout the school.
Contribute to improvements in behaviour systems.
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Follow safeguarding procedures.
Support whole-school initiatives designed to improve student engagement.
The successful candidate will have significant experience working with young people particularly within a secondary school pastoral behaviour or inclusion environment.
You should be confident managing challenging situations while maintaining a calm and professional approach.
The school is looking for someone who can combine clear expectations with positive relationship-building.
Excellent communication skills are essential because you will regularly work with students teachers parents and senior leaders.
You should also be organised and confident maintaining accurate records of behaviour incidents and interventions.
Previous experience working with young people.
Experience in behaviour pastoral care or inclusion.
Secondary school experience is highly desirable.
