Job Summary

A thriving Outstanding 1116 academy in Manchester is seeking an experienced Behaviour Manager to join its pastoral team on a full-time permanent basis from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking secondary school where high expectations excellent behaviour and student wellbeing go hand in hand. Youll work closely with senior leaders to help students overcome barriers to learning ensuring every young person has the support they need to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As Behaviour Manager youll take a proactive approach to supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 promoting positive behaviour while helping to create a calm purposeful learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading behaviour interventions for students requiring additional support

  • Working closely with Heads of Year safeguarding staff and the SEND team

  • Monitoring behaviour attendance and punctuality implementing strategies to improve outcomes

  • Supporting restorative conversations and reintegration following suspensions

  • Meeting with parents carers and external agencies to develop behaviour support plans

  • Maintaining accurate student records using the schools management information system

  • Contributing to whole-school behaviour initiatives and promoting positive conduct throughout the academy

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be confident building positive relationships with young people resilient when managing challenging situations and committed to helping students make lasting improvements in behaviour and engagement.
