Previous School Experience Essential

A high-performing secondary school in Manchester is looking for an experienced Behaviour Manager with previous school experience to join its pastoral team.

Previous experience working within a school is essential ideally in a Behaviour Manager Pastoral Manager Inclusion or Student Support position.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can maintain clear expectations while building positive relationships with students.

The Role

Youll take responsibility for supporting the schools behaviour systems and working with students who require additional intervention.

  • Managing day-to-day behaviour across the school

  • Leading targeted behaviour interventions

  • Supporting students following incidents or sanctions

  • Monitoring behaviour attendance and punctuality

  • Running restorative conversations

  • Working closely with Heads of Year and SLT

  • Liaising with parents and carers

  • Supporting internal inclusion and reflection

  • Maintaining accurate behaviour records

  • Identifying patterns and helping develop appropriate interventions

About You

Were looking for someone confident calm and consistent who understands the challenges schools face when managing behaviour.

Experience supporting students with SEMH needs challenging behaviour or persistent disengagement would be particularly useful.
