PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Gaelic Department in Pacific Quay in Glasgow deliver wide ranging multi-genre programmes for BBC Alba Childrens team create over 60 hours of Childrens content each year for BBC Alba. This output combined with various outreach projects ensures the team is constantly busy.
The Mod 2026 on BBC Alba will provide extensive coverage of the competitions and we offer live TV across 6 days. We require a dynamic multitasking PC to join our team with excellent knowledge of the The Mod.
As part of the contract candidates who work on The Mod 2026 will also be expected to work on BBC Scotland output on the Edinburgh Festival arranging accommodation travel schedules and supporting radio production teams.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Organise travel and accommodation for crew presenters external suppliers and contributors for filming.
Raise Smartbooks/Requisitions and Purchase orders for production spend and ensuring running costs are updated and accurate.
Liaise with BBC departments to ensure Studio Craft and Post-production personnel are booked and kept informed of all planned and any schedule changes for filming.
Ensure Albert documentation is collected and delivered on time and making sure the production is as sustainable as possible
Ensure TX schedules are updated and relayed to the team.
Complete all Post-Production paperwork using Silvermouse
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective relations with a wide range of contacts both internal and external to the BBC.
Attention to detail especially when comparing updating TX schedules.
Excellent knowledge of The Mod or Alba Childrens output on BBC Alba
Experience of working in fast paced studio or OB large scale production team possessing excellent organisational and forward planning skills
Experience of BBC systems such as Smartbook and Ariba Albert and Silvermouse
DESIRABLE: Gaelic language
