Position: Basque Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 1020 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Transcribe and optimize audio and video content in Basque. Ensure clarity and accuracy while adhering to guidelines.
• Produce high-quality written outputs in Basque and English. Capture nuances like tone intent and dialectal variations.
• Develop evaluation rubrics and grading guidelines in Basque and English. Document standards for consistency.
• Conduct model testing and grading. Evaluate outputs for accuracy completeness and fluency.
• Support benchmarking and quality assurance. Participate in QA cycles to ensure quality and consistency.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Strong writing editing and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Native or near-native fluency in Basque and professional fluency in English.
• Familiarity with spoken Basque regional vocabulary and dialects.
• Ability to transcribe and analyze Basque audio content.
• Available to commit 1020 hours/week.

Preferred

• College students or recent graduates.
• Background in linguistics humanities social sciences journalism translation/localization or technical disciplines.
• Experience with transcription annotation localization evaluation or research workflows in Basque.
• Familiarity with Standard Basque and regional dialects.
• Interest in AI language models or applied research environments.
