Copleston High Schoolislooking for a motivated and committed Basketball Coach (Assistant Coach and AoC U19 Mens/Lower School Academy Head Coach) to join our Basketball Academy coaching team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a coach looking to develop their experience acrossperformance coaching player development education and basketball operations.
You will play a key role in the delivery and development of our Basketball Academy with responsibility across coaching player development and education.
Key responsibilities:
AoC U19 Head Coach Take lead responsibility for the AoC U19 Mens Basketball Team including planning and delivering training sessions preparing for competition and leading the team on match days
head Coach of the Lower School Academy Lead the coaching and development of our Lower School Academy programme supporting the progression and development of young players within the academy pathway
principal Contact for DiSE Delivery Act as the main point of contact for the delivery of the DiSE programme supporting learner development and ensuring effective communication between players staff and relevant education partners.
In addition to these key responsibilities the role will also include:
supporting academy practices and individual player development
coaching across the wider academy programme including boys and girls W/EABL teams where required
performance analysis scouting and reviewing performance
supporting player recruitment progression and retention
match-day fixture and academy administration
supporting transport and away fixtures where required
contributing to the wider development of our basketball programme.
You will beadaptable organised and passionate about developing young players both on and off the court. You will be comfortable taking ownership of key areas of the programme while also working collaboratively as part of a wider coaching and education team. Previous experience of coaching within a performance or academy environment is desirable alongside an understanding of player development and the education landscape.
