Bar Supervisor The Meeting House
Opening this Autumn The Meeting House will be a welcome addition to Belfast City centre. Located between Ann Street and Crown Entry the venue will be a pub with a focus on traditional Irish music and its unique historical location. The pub will also be complemented by an adjoining Indian-inspired 60 seat restaurant Ru. We are looking for an experienced Bar Supervisor to support the management team and help bring the bar to life.
The role
This is a key supervisory position supporting the successful day-to-day operation of The Meeting House bar.
As Bar Supervisor you will lead by example on shift support the bar team maintain high service standards and help deliver an outstanding guest experience.
The rate of pay for this role is 14.30 per hour plus discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 500.

What youll do:
- Support the management team with the opening and ongoing operation of The Meeting House bar
- Supervise day-to-day bar shifts helping to ensure seamless service flow and effective team co-ordination
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional service responding to customer feedback professionally and escalating issues when required
- Support the training and development of the bar team reinforcing the venues culture service standards and ways of working
- Assist with shift briefings cash handling stock control opening and closing procedures and completion of required checks
- Maintain excellent bar presentation and product quality while ensuring compliance with hygiene health and safety and licensing requirements
About you:
- Previous supervisory experience in a busy pub or other bar service environment (at least 12 months)
- Someone able to make a quick impact and help establish strong standards in a new venue
- A people person who builds positive working relationships with colleagues and guests
- A confident shift leader and communicator with strong organisational skills
- You have sound knowledge of bar operations customer service and responsible alcohol service
- Youre enthusiastic hands-on and comfortable supporting the team during busy services
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays
