Bank Senior Care Assistant. Manor Park Care Home

  • Hours: 8am – 8pm or 8pm-8am
  • Salary: £14.95 - £15.95 per hour (dependent on whether day or night shift)
  • Contract: Bank / Flexible Shifts

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistants to join our bank team at Manor Park Care Home in the heart of Malton.

As a Bank Senior Care Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care across both day and night shifts. You will provide leadership to the care team on shift while ensuring the safety comfort and wellbeing of our residents at all times.

This flexible role is ideal for someone looking to work varied shifts covering annual leave sickness and additional staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Lead the care team on shift ensuring high standards of person-centred care.
  • Administer medication safely in line with care plans and policies.
  • Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing responding promptly to changes.
  • Deliver personal care with dignity compassion and respect.
  • Maintain accurate care records and complete clear handovers.
  • Support and mentor team members promoting best practice.
  • Carry out regular checks to ensure a safe and secure environment (especially overnight).
  • Liaise with management and healthcare professionals when required.
  • Support daily routines or night-time care needs depending on shift allocation.
  • Assist with light housekeeping and preparation tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a senior care role ideally in a residential or nursing home.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
  • A calm compassionate and professional approach to overnight care.
  • Confidence in administering medication and using care systems.
