Spire Bristol Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Hospital Porter to join our dynamic and experienced Porting team on the staffing bank. This role is for someone looking for flexible working shifts available to cover holidays and sickness..

About the Role

As a Porter you will provide vital support across the hospital including the safe movement of patients equipment and supplies. You will work as part of a close-knit team covering a range of shifts including days afternoons and nights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To transfer and guide patients safely around the hospital as required in a caring sympathetic and professional manner
  • Move clinical equipment medical supplies goods and other items as required
  • Responsible for the safe management of the collection and disposal of waste both domestic and clinical in line with corporate and hospital policy WM01
  • Support clinical teams by maintaining a clean safe and organised environment
  • Respond promptly to portering requests and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Deliver excellent customer service to patients visitors and colleagues
  • Uphold safety infectioncontrol and patienthandling standards
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance department
  • Complete additional portering and facilities tasks to support smooth running of the hospital

  • Experience of working in a similar role and delivering frontline customer service
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Caring and sympathetic
  • Ability to work evenings nights and weekends
  • Due to the physical demands of the role including moving equipment and assisting with patient transport you will need to be able to perform these essential duties safely

Working Hours:Shifts will be a varietyand 1400-2200
